DESTINATION FOR NATURE LOVERS LIVENS UP DISCOVER UUM 2016
UUM ONLINE: The exhibition that displays the greenery of UUM campus in conjunction with the Discover UUM 2016 which showcases the heritage of flora and fauna can be seen as a means of expanding the public?s knowledge about the country's natural treasures found in Sintok.
According to the Head of the Photography Unit, Mr. Shamsaimi Ezil, exhibition such as this can boost the Discover UUM programme as a medium to promote UUM as well as Visit Kedah Year 2016.
Stunning panoramic view with pretty gardens dotting the forest backdrop provides visitors with the feel of being in a forest reserve home to many untouched treasures.
Such experience can indeed be experienced during a photography session in Sintok forest, where a lake nearby provides a quiet and cozy atmosphere that will definitely give the most beautiful moments for nature lovers who go there.
"Maybe people are unaware of the beauty stored in Sintok campus that is known for its natural landscape and what we see at these sites, we describe the atmosphere by capturing them in photos.
"With this photography exhibition, the public can appreciate the beauty of the flora and fauna up close as if they were at the location where the images were captured," he said.
Obviously, photographers worked hard to shoot the best angle for the viewing pleasure of the public and so through this exhibition, a collection of images depicting the diversity of the Sintok campus beauty such as its many lakes, forests and landscapes can be witnessed by many.
The beauty of the Sintok campus can be found framed in venues such as EDC-UUM, screened during the Workshop on Product Development and Kota Setar / Langkawi / Discover UUM 2016 Preparation Packages. The workshop was organised by the Tourism Kedah, EDC-UUM and BizTalk organised by OYAGSB, recently.
According to UUM photographer Mr. Hairul Nizam Zahari, the UUM Photography team tirelessly promotes UUM to the world. The attractive photos that captured these beautiful images have since been uploaded onto the social media sites like Facebook and have received encouraging response from Malaysian and foreign netizens.
Sintok Valley possesses the earths? natural treasure of flora and fauna which are on the verge of extinction can become many of the country's tourism assets.
"The world can now see the beauty of UUM in its Facebook page, since then we have received positive response not only from within the country but the world community. Many are now beginning to enquire the location of UUM as well as expressing their desire to witness and experience the beauty of these sites first-hand," he said.
The public has the opportunity to witness the work of the UUM photographers in exhibitions which are expected to be held at the UUM Sultanah Bahiyah Library and Alor Setar soon.
